SILICON-X: FLEXIBLE PCDU IN-ORBIT DEMONSTRATION
The Silicon-X project demonstrates the ability to integrate our in-house designed microchip into a satellite Power Conditioning and Distribution unit, perform qualification testing and implement it on a spacecraft to be launched to orbit for validation.

OMEGA: POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR PROPULSION-AS-A-SERVICE
Omega, a subscription-based space mobility service offers customers ready-to-use smart propulsion systems and full turn-key services, covering the entire lifecycle of a satellite from launch to deorbiting.
As part of ESA’s Boost!, SPHERICAL was subcontracted by Dawn Aerospace to provide a Power Distribution Unit, to provide a customer-configurable power system with 5x radiation reliability to interface with the customer satellite.
VEOWARE: NEXT-GEN MOTOR CONTROL
Satellites need agility to target areas on Earth effectively. Veoware's scalable Control Moment Gyroscope (CMG) is already revolutionising satellite operations, improving manoeuvring agility by 10x and boosting satellite productivity.
Supported by the European Regional Development Fund, SPHERICAL and Veoware are teaming up to make this subsystem even better. In this collaboration, SPHERICAL will design a dedicated microchip for the CMG. Our proprietary design will drastically reduce the size of the electronics, improve efficiency, while maintaining a European supply chain.
ORBITSENSE: SATELLITE SENSOR DATA FUSION
SPHERICAL is collaborating with KMSense, a leading aerospace company providing attitude determination products. Within this collaboration, SPHERICAL develops a tailor-made microprocessor, whereas KMSense improves the effectiveness and functionality of their sensor fusion algorithm.
The collaboration is made possible through funding of the Province of Zuid-Holland.
OHB CHALLENGE AWARD
SPHERICAL has been recognized as the winner of the 2024 OHB Challenge "Shape Space for a Better Future" at the INNOspace Masters. INNOspace Masters is the international innovation competition organised by the German Space Agency at DLR in cooperation with OHB and others.
SPHERICAL’s Radiation Hardened Satellite Power System, powered by agile semiconductor design, stood out by the OHB jury for being five times smaller, more affordable, and mass-producible compared to traditional power systems. This recognition is a testament to our team's dedication to innovation in the space sector.
