Role & Responsibilities
Gather requirements from various stakeholders within the company.
Understand and plan based on space industry standards (ie. ECSS, NASA GEVs).
Design a 3D model of electronic subsystem enclosures in industry standard tools - working iteratively with our electronic engineers by exchanging and integrating 3D models of PCBAs into the design.
Perform analysis (hand calculations followed by simulations) of the structural loading under rocket launch vibrations.
Perform analysis (hand calculations followed by simulations) of the thermal management of electronics operating at kilowatt power levels.
Generate manufacturing drawings and be the point of contact for third party manufacturing of the housing.
Creating test specifications and reports for environmental testing.
Assembly and testing of the housing with electronic modules.
Skills
Proficient in Computer Aided Design
Knowledge of of engineering tolerances and bolt sizing
Able to perform structural and thermal analysis (hand calculations and FEA)
Experience with engineering drawings

Hybrid working environment, min. 1 day/week onsite to build strong team dynamic, focused work from home possible other days
