About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing in-house software tools to enhance SPHERICAL’s electronic design automation (EDA) offerings. You will collaborate with both the software and hardware teams, using your background in electrical engineering and software development to help automate design tasks, streamline simulations, and improve the overall design process. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the space industry and contribute to the development of groundbreaking technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create automated design tools: Build software solutions to automate IC design, layout, simulations, and testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software and hardware engineers to integrate tools and streamline processes.
• Post-process simulation results: Extract and analyze data from simulations to improve design outcomes.
• Develop fundamental software: Help develop software that integrates seamlessly with commercial and open-source EDA tools.
• Automate tasks and workflows: Improve the design process by automating repetitive tasks and enhancing tool efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with a background in software development.
• Experience or familiarity with IC schematics, netlists, and layouts.
• Experience running basic simulations.
• Strong skills in programming languages like Python, C/C++, and Verilog.
• A passion for software development and automation in the electronics field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Linux systems.
• Experience with Git workflows and integration.
• Knowledge of front-end development (React, Vue, Javascript/Typescript).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Practicalities

• Location: Based in Schiedamsedijk, Rotterdam, NL.
• Hybrid Working: Minimum 1 day per week onsite to build strong team dynamics. Remote work is possible on other days.
